Storage for raw materials

We permanently hold a buffer stock of basic raw materials in our warehouses, which cover the consumption requirements for at least 60 days.

The raw materials that are permanently on stock are the following:

  • various stocks of rubber (NR, SBR, EPDM, etc.),
  • rubber compounds for various applications,
  • EP, EE, XE type textiles,
  • miscellaneous.

Dosing

Dosing is the first stage in the technological flow of production of rubber compounds.

According to a pre-established recipe, which is verified beforehand, the elements are measured for mixing in masticators and drums.

Mixing

Mixing is the process of homogenizing of the elements of a rubber mixture, which takes place in special equipment, under specific conditions.

The mixing operation takes place in two stages, according to a certain order in which the elements are introduced in the masticator.

  • Execution of pre-mixture in the masticator
  • Completion of mixture in the drum

Equipment:

  • 60 l Masticator = 2 pc
  • 40’’ Drums = 3 pc
  • 80’’ Drums = 5 pc
  • Cooling and palletizing line = 1 pc

 

Laboratory

Ikosar company has its own laboratory equipped with modern equipment and specialized personnel.

Features:

  • MDR 2000 Rheometer – ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES
  • Tensiometer 2000 – ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES;
  • Abrasiometer 6103-4 LAB;
  • Durometer ZWICH-SH A;
  • Oven for determining the heat and oil resistance of conveyor belts
  • Stand for determining the fire resistance of conveyor belts.
  • Stand for determining the antistatic properties of conveyor belts.

Tests performed: 

Tensile strength of rubber mixtures, tearing, elongation, adhesion, abrasion, density, temperature, fire.

CALENDERING ENCASING

Calendering is the operation that precedes vulcanization of belts and consists in applying of a rubber layer onto the textile insertion.

The rubber rolling and encasing operations also take place on calenders.

Equipment:

  • BRIDGES 1800 x 600 Calender – 1 pc.
  • Buzuluk 1800 x 600 mm Calender – 1 pc.
  • Encasing installation – 2 pc.

 

VULCANIZATION OF CONVEYOR BELTS

Vulcanization takes place in presses fitted with a tensioning system and with electronic continuous control systems for the working parameters:

  • Temperature control
  • Pressure control
  • Vulcanization time control

Equipment:

  • Vulcanizing press 6000 mm x 800 mm – 1 pc
  • Vulcanizing press 6000 mm x 1100 mm – 1 pc
  • Vulcanizing press 4000 mm x 1700 mm – 1 pc
  • Vulcanizing press 6000 mm x 1300 mm – 1 pc
  • Press for vulcanized gaskets and small parts, with different sizes of pans – 24 pcs

 

QUALITY CONTROL

The quality control consists in:

  • Visual control – surface
  • Dimensional control – compliance with tolerances
  • Characteristics control (hardness, abrasion, etc.)
  • Control of recorded working parameters (the working parameters recorded during production are checked, so as to make sure that no deviations occur)

 

DELIVERY / TEMPORARY STORAGE

After the quality control, the products are labelled, packed and delivered, or temporarily stored.
