Rubber conveyor belts with textile inserts manufactured by SC IKOSAR SRL are classified according to their intended use as follows:

General purpose rubber conveyor belts with textile inserts

They are the most common belts and are manufactured in series in a wide range of sizes according to Standard DIN 22102, STAS SR EN 2077/1998.

The lifespan of a belt depends to a large extent on the choice of the appropriate type of belt for that application, especially regarding:

  • Belt strength class,
  • The type of rubber coating according to the application.

The type of belt required for an application, with the number of inserts, the type of insert, the thickness of the belt and the type of rubber coating are established depending on the length of the section, the type and quantity of material transported.

The belts are marked by indicating in order: strength class, number of inserts and their nature, width in mm, thickness of rubber coatings (bearing face and rolling face) in millimeters, length in meters, type of rubber coating.

Marking example for a belt with resistance class 500, two Ep inserts (with polyester thread in warp and polyamide thread in weft) 650 mm wide, with rubber coating thickness (3 + 2) mm, length 100 ml and type of rubber coating Y.

Ep 500/2-650(3+2)100 Y

Rubber conveyor belts with textile insert MORX and ORXX

They are intended for the transport of materials with the imprint of mineral, vegetable or animal oil.

They are manufactured in the same conditions and technology as the general purpose belts, the difference being made by the materials from which they are made and which give them characteristics that prevent the rubber from inflating during prolonged contact with these products.

Applications: transport of mineral waste, oilseeds, various materials with oil content.

  • XMOR = Medium resistance to oils
  • XXOR = Good resistance to oils

Conveyor belts with textile inserts K-MOR type

They are intended for the transport of materials containing fats and oils in areas with potential fire risks.

They are made of a mixture of nitrile and chloroprene rubber, which gives these belts the following properties:

  • It inhibits the flames and has the property of self-extinguishing.
  • It has antistatic properties (prevents electrostatic charging of the belt during operation due to friction).
  • Medium resistance to oils and petroleum products.

The determinations regarding the flame resistance are made according to SR EN ISO 340 -2013.

Conveyor belts with high temperature resistant textile inserts T Type

The use of normal belts for the transport of hot materials, above 80°C, constantly leads to changes in the characteristics of the belt, leading to its premature wear and removal from use.

Therefore, the solution is to use temperature-resistant conveyor belts for such applications, made of rubber mixtures based on EPDM and / or Butyl, which gives these belts durability and excellent operating behavior.

Types of belts manufactured at SC IKOSAR SRL:

  • T1 – max  110°C
  • T2 – max  130°C
  • T3 – max  160°C

The determinations regarding the degree of temperature resistance are made in our own laboratory, in the oven, according to SR-ISO 188 -2011.

Impact resistant conveyor belts

They have mixed inserts (textile + metallic) in the structure. The metal insert is arranged transversely on the belt, ensuring an extra resistance to tearing during operation.

Recommended for heavy duty conveyors which transport material with sharp edges (crushed stone).

Conveyor belts with textile insert for food use

This type of belt is made only on request, they have a niche use.

The belts are made in white or gray color from general purpose materials or MOR, K-MOR.

The straps are UV resistant.

They are intended for the transport of packaged or bulk food (sugar, salt, cereals, etc.).
